Job Summary:

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in designing and developing automation frameworks and test scripts for web,api based applications and also for agents running directly on Operating systems. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in automation tools, scripting languages, and test design techniques, with the ability to build reliable and maintainable automation solutions that improve overall product quality.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify edge cases, debug complex issues, and improve test coverage across applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Develop high-quality automated test scripts for web applications and APIs using industry-standard automation tools.
• Build reusable automation utilities and libraries to improve test efficiency and maintainability.
• Analyse functional requirements and translate them into comprehensive automated test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing using automated test suites.
• Execute automated test runs, analyse failures, and debug test scripts to identify root causes of defects.
• Identify edge cases, boundary conditions, and negative scenarios to improve overall test coverage.
• Maintain and enhance existing automation scripts to support evolving product features.
• Work closely with development teams to understand system behaviour and validate application functionality.
• Perform API testing and validation of backend workflows using automation tools.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and test design activities.
• Maintain clear documentation for test scripts, test scenarios, and automation frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

·       5–7 years of strong hands-on experience in test automation.

·       Strong programming or scripting skills in Java or Python.

·       Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver or equivalent automation tools.

·       Experience building automation frameworks from scratch or significantly enhancing existing frameworks.

·       Strong experience in functional and regression test automation.

·       Experience in API testing using tools such as RestAssured, Postman, or similar.

·       Good understanding of test design techniques, including boundary testing, equivalence partitioning, and negative testing.

·       Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

·       Experience working with test management and defect tracking tools.

·       Good understanding of web application architecture and browser behavior.

·       Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation and data verification.
