About ColorTokens

ColorTokens, based in Silicon Valley, is a leader in enterprise and cloud cybersecurity. Our award-winning Zero Trust platform simplifies security deployment at scale by automating protection across endpoints, workloads, applications, and users in hybrid environments. Recognized by Forrester and GigaOm (August 2024) as a top provider in microsegmentation, ColorTokens delivers cutting-edge solutions that help organizations protect what matters most.

Position Summary

ColorTokens is a leading provider of Zero Trust Microsegmentation and breach containment solutions. Our flagship product, Xshield, is purpose-built to help Federal agencies secure their critical infrastructure, protect mission-critical systems, and achieve compliance with mandates like the Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) strategy and NIST frameworks. We empower government organizations, from civilian to defense, to be "breach-ready" by preventing the lateral movement of cyber threats across their hybrid IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments.  The Federal Solutions Engineer (SE) is the primary technical resource in the sales cycle, bridging the gap between cutting-edge cybersecurity technology and the unique mission requirements of U.S. Federal Government customers. You will partner with the Federal Sales team to design, demonstrate, and deploy tailored Zero Trust solutions that secure sensitive data and critical infrastructure across diverse, complex Federal landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME): Act as the lead technical resource for ColorTokens' Xshield platform, specializing in its application within Federal Civilian, DoD, and Intelligence Community environments.
  • Proof-of-Concept (PoC) & Demo Delivery: Conduct compelling, customized demonstrations, presentations, and workshops that clearly articulate the value of microsegmentation and Zero Trust in solving specific Federal agency challenges.
  • Solution Design & Architecture: Analyze complex customer environments (IT, OT, Cloud, Hybrid) and collaboratively design reference architectures and technical proposals that leverage Xshield to meet specific security and compliance requirements (e.g., stopping lateral movement, continuous monitoring, least-privilege access).
  • RFP/RFI/Proposal Support: Own the technical response sections for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other acquisition documents, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Zero Trust Advocacy: Educate and advise Federal stakeholders on how ColorTokens accelerates their journey toward the CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model and relevant Executive Orders.
  • Compliance Mapping: Map Xshield's capabilities directly to Federal security mandates, including NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-207 (Zero Trust), and FISMA/RMF processes.
  • FedRAMP Focus: Understand and communicate the technical architecture and compliance benefits of the Xshield platform related to its FedRAMP authorization status.
  • Customer Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the customer to Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams, providing crucial feedback to guide future product development for the Federal market.
  • Partner Enablement: Work closely with Channel and Alliance Partners (e.g., Carahsoft, System Integrators) to ensure they are technically proficient in positioning and deploying ColorTokens solutions.
  • Post-Sales Transition: Ensure a seamless handover of the technical solution to the Customer Success and Professional Services teams for successful deployment and adoption.
