Job Title: Federal Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Location: Washington, D.C. (Hybrid or On-Site)
Clearance Required: Active Top Secret (TS) or TS/SCI preferred
Reports To: Vice President Public Sector
Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic, mission-driven Federal Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technological vision and execution of our cybersecurity solutions for federal government clients. As a key member of the executive team, the Federal CTO will oversee technical innovation, product architecture, and cybersecurity operations, ensuring alignment with federal compliance standards, national security priorities, and emerging cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Technology Leadership:
- Drive the company’s federal technology strategy, aligning innovation with mission-critical government needs, including DoD, DHS, and the Intelligence Community.
- Cybersecurity Architecture & Innovation:
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of secure, scalable solutions tailored to federal risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP, CMMC, FISMA).
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all technologies and systems meet federal regulatory standards and accreditation processes; provide guidance during ATO (Authority to Operate) processes.
- Federal Partnerships & Engagement:
- Serve as the technical liaison with government agencies, federal CIOs/CTOs, and mission partners to support innovation, proposals, and long-term technology planning.
- Product Development & R&D:
- Lead the roadmap for cybersecurity platforms and services, incorporating AI, threat intelligence, zero trust architecture, cloud security, and endpoint protection.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Build and lead high-performing technical teams including engineering, DevSecOps, and security architecture—fostering a culture of innovation, compliance, and resilience.
- Proposal & Capture Support:
- Support BD and Capture teams with technical strategy for RFI/RFP responses, whitepapers, demos, and oral presentations for government contracts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (10+ years) in technical leadership roles, preferably within a federal systems integrator, cybersecurity firm, or federal agency.
- Deep understanding of federal cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, CMMC, RMF, FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Strong background in secure cloud infrastructure (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government), zero trust architecture, and emerging threat landscape.
- Track record of leading large-scale, mission-critical cyber programs for defense or civilian agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or related field; Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Active Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance required.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with classified environments, cross-domain solutions, or secure enclaves.
- Familiarity with OT/ICS security or federal critical infrastructure protection.
- Strong relationships within DoD, DHS, and/or Intelligence Community.
- Prior experience supporting federal R&D, SBIR/STTR programs, or innovation hubs (e.g., DIU, In-Q-Tel).
